Ferndale Lodge, a family-run guest house, is placed only a few minutes' stroll from the centre of the charming Lake District town of Ambleside.

The cruise boats on Lake Windermere are 10 minutes' walk away, whilst scenic Rydal Water is a two mile-drive. Windermere town is five miles away, accessible by buses that stop two minutes walk from the Lodge.

Directions
From J36 on the M6, take the A591 past Kendal and Windermere. At the traffic lights at Waterhead on the outskirts of Ambleside, take the left fork and follow this road for approx 1 mile, until it becomes a two lane one way street, take the right hand lane and follow the road until you reach a T junction. Turn right and then immediately right into the Pay & Display car park. In the car park take the first left into our private car park.
