Wray Castle, an impressive castle owned by the National Trust is just 10 minutes' drive away and Tarn Hows is an 8-minute journey by car. The main house has large terrace with seating area where you can sit and relax and take in the views of Esthwaite Water. Esthwaite Water is also a popular fishing venue. All rooms are en-suite and have a TV and WiFi. High Grassings Country House is a 16-minute drive from Grizedale Forest and the cosy hamlet of Hawkshead is less than two miles away. The historically significantal town of Ambleside is 13 minutes' drive away and Windermere is just eight miles away. Langdale Pikes are within 26 minutes' drive.

As the name states the room is in the garden offering good value and an ideal secluded breakaway. Good sized confortable lounge/sitting room with leather sofa seperate bathroom with hot water shower cold water to sink good sized bedoom. Also balcony with outside furniture. Suit couples only ( no children). DVD player with selection of DVD's no television reception. Trail to garden room is on a slope so need to be agile not suitable for anyone with walking disability.Breakast can be delivered to this room at time that suite guests for additional charge

M6 - Road: Leave the M6 at exit 36, SOUTH LAKES turn off, take the A590/A591 by passing KENDAL and onwards to WINDERMERE, then AMBLESIDE. From AMBLESIDE Take the A593 towards CONISTON at ClAPPERSGATE turn left onto the B5286 ( signposted HAWKSHEAD 4 miles) follow this road for approx one mile.
